Fields, gardens and woods north of Serreta which still holds a good variety of original vegetation and good variation of local birds.

The dirt road that goes north from the road down to the lighthouse offers a nice birding area with also a good population of day flying bats.

The area around Serreta in western Terceira seems to be good for American land birds. This photo is taken from the road down to the lighthouse north of Serreta, and the wood in the background is just west of the village.
