Birding Azores
First for the Azores if the “border of Azores” is set to the EEZ (Economic Exclusive Zone) which is 200 nautical miles from the shoreline of any island.

Birding Azores
If the bird is within Western Palearctic is also a definition problem. According to Cramp et.al. (Birds of the Western Palearctic) the western border of WP follows the 30th longitude except for the Azores where the border is further west. On the other hand maybe Holarctic most logical should be divided into Nearctic and Palearctic by a line at sea between those land masses?
